**Responsibilities**:
- **Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
- Produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
- **Accounting Management**:
- Assist with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
- Assist with preparations for audits.
- Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Accounts payable and Receivable reconciliation
- Credit card and invoice reconciliation
- **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
- Use accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
- **Team Coordination**:
- Delegate accounting tasks to junior accounting staff.
- Coordinate with and prepare reports for COO and upper management.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
**Qualifications/Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
**Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (master’s preferred)
- At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
- CPA or CMA preferred
