**Our Mission**:
The Croatian-Canadian National Sports Centre “Zagreb” - home of London - St. Thomas “Croatia” established in 1961— has a long history of fielding competitive teams that enjoy success throughout Southwestern Ontario. Our club is run on a complete volunteer basis and the support of the business community has become vital to the development of our soccer program - one that enables over 150 players from London and St. Thomas to play soccer, stay active, and build relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Student Grounds Maintenance & Landscape and Server Associate is responsible for assisting the organization maintain the soccer field, change rooms and banquet hall facility. The role varies throughout the week; from cutting and lining the soccer field to colleting gate entrance fees and sometimes serving our visitors food and drinks during our community events and games.

**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Cleaning of all the facilities, washrooms, team change rooms.
- Cutting and lining of the soccer field.
- May include painting and other general maintenance from time to time.
- Entry fee collection at gates

**JOB RESPONSIBILITES**:

- Work includes, cleaning interior windows, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, removing scrap paper and emptying trash bins, sweep, and mop floors.
- Cleaning of washrooms and restocking of supplies.
- Painting and occasional changing of light bulbs.
- Assist with food and table prep before the event begins
- Serve guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs
- Communicate with banquet supervisor as well as other servers and event organizers
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout task
- Load all tools, gas and other necessary equipment/materials. Secure all equipment safely.
- Perform and manage landscape and maintenance
- Provide labor associated with the maintenance of all lawns & garden beds, including cleanouts.
- Perform all tasks of operations including but not limited to mowing, line trimming, leaf and debris removal, weeding, edging, hedging, raking and mulch installation.

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of some high school
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. + consistently throughout the day
- Stoop, stand and bend for 4 hours or more a day
- Ability to read & write English, including maps & diagram

**EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT**:

- Operation of an industrial riding lawnmower and other small power equipment
- Use of various cleaning supplies and equipment.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Outdoor and indoor environments
- Exposure to noise from lawn mower (PPE provided)

**SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING**:

- Responsible to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.
- Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant.
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.

**Training to be provided**:

- Worker Health and Safety in 4 Steps (MoL)
- Rights of the Worker (OHSA)
- WHMIS
- SmartServe (if over the age of 18)
- Operation of and Basic Maintenance of Lawn care equipment
- Basic Customer Service.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
