About the Role
  • Ensure all aspects of the grounds and outdoor areas of Sifton-owned townhomes, common areas, and parks are well maintained and safe, providing a pleasant environment for our tenants and the community.
  • Responsible for landscaping, patio leveling, retaining walls, and drainage.
  • Responsible for exterior building maintenance and repair, including roofs, eavestroughs & soffits, window and door sills, and brick repair and, garbage collection, and snow removal.
  • Work collaboratively to address work orders in a timely fashion while providing an outstanding customer service experience.
Experience
  • Prior experience in a landscape or grounds maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Experience in general repairs such as caulking, asphalt repairs, patio/ stonework, water leaks, and drainage intervention; maintenance experience of garbage/recycling, lawn maintenance/ snow removal
  • Working at Heights certification is required.
  • Ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions.
  • Strong maintenance/ repair aptitude and ability to multi-task and complete a variety of general maintenance repairs.
  • Able to work independently with accountability and flexible to work with other team members as required.
  • Displays initiative to problem-solve and engage with tenants and team to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service focus, respectful of privacy and personal spaces with a positive and friendly demeanor.
  • General awareness and a strong commitment to the safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment and other safety protocols.
  • Dependable transportation and ability to report for flexible work schedules.
