**INTRODUCTION**:
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

**WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:

- Create, coordinate and maintain records, documents, reports and databases both in electronic and hard copies related to Supply section, in accordance with information management and security policy requirements;
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicle;
- Maintain lists and files regarding Account Holders;
- Maintain order tracking database;
- Reference multiple catalogues database in order to retrieve appropriate information regarding supply orders;
- Draft, send, and maintain government forms for approvals and submittal;
- Coordinate with other government departments, military units, and civilian companies to order, send, and retrieve stock;
- Coordinate and oversee the transportation of ordered inventory from supplies and delivery locations;
- Liaise with other department and units to coordinate the transportation, delivery, return and disposal of ordered inventory;
- Operate DND civilian pattern vehicle, with proper licensing, in order to carry out delivery / pick-up of ordered inventory from local suppliers and various delivery locations;
- Attend meetings / discuss supply orders requests with account holders, their staff and chain of command;
- Assist AMF personnel in all other supply / procurement related matters.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- **MUST** Ontario Security Guard License
- **MUST** Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- **MUST** have the ability to obtain security clearance (resident in Canada 5 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history)
- Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer workstation, office equipment and communication devices in order to prepare reports, files and routine correspondence, input data and search databases/spreadsheets. High degrees of precision and accuracy are required to meet specified priorities and time frames.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases to create and prepare documents and files including formatting, graphics, charts and layouts.
- Knowledge of correspondence control systems to prepare written documents, to process and track electronic mail, and to produce correspondence and files.
- Knowledge of departmental standards, templates, preferred practices and work processing techniques, including presentation and linkage techniques used in the preparation of documents and correspondence
- Keeping informed of relevant sections and their applicable acts, policies, regulations, directives, and procedures as well as current practices to ensure compliance at all times
- Writing and verbal skills to prepare routine correspondence and other documents, and to communicate thoroughly with other departments, staff, and suppliers
- The physical ability to stand for long periods of time, move-freely, and lift objects up to 80 lbs, in order to assist with the loading, unloading, and organization of supply
- The ability to operate a motor-vehicle, and qualify for a military driver’s license.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $23.67

Location: CFB Borden, Borden, ON

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0800-1600 (37.5 hours per week)
