**THE OPPORTUNITY**

**What You’ll Do**: The Shipping and Documentation Administrator (aka Documentation Specialist) works closely with the Production Coordinator and the Logistic Team at our Saltair Sawmill to coordinate shipments, process shipping orders and manage all documentation related to those shipments. This role will also be supporting the shipping department on an as needed basis.

Experience in the lumber industry is certainly an advantage but is not necessary as we are willing to train the right person. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to either gain experience in the lumber industry or to further their experience in a different area of the industry. There is potential for this person to develop into further logistics or production coordination roles.

**Work Environment**:This position is to be performed in person at our Saltair Sawmill Operation in Ladysmith.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review export orders and relays pertinent information to Logistics and Production Coordinator;
- Record all offsite production runs including consumption and production;
- Records all offsite truck shipments;
- Prepares US Entry documents as required for truck and rail shipments;
- Assists Production Coordinator with order file management;
- Assists shippers with documentation and customs issues;
- Assists with tracking of on-site truck requests and shipments;
- Balances offsite inventories each month end and resolves discrepancies within one working day of month end;
- Reconciles all export bookings;
- Tracks all export bookings;
- Maintenance of the divisional open orders report; and,
- Other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- 3-5 years of administrative experience preferred;
- Experience in lumber industry or similar industrial environment an asset; and,
- Experienced to advanced skill set in MS Suite of products and proficiency with Excel and Pivot tables a strong asset.
