omb is a full service design firm and we offer an integrated architecture and interiors team to meet the requirements of any project, big or small. We work on a wide range of project types from airports, urban master plans and universities, to community buildings such as libraries, art galleries, and city halls, residential projects both single and multi-family as well as our extensive interiors-specific portfolio that includes retail, hospitality and office projects. We believe in maintaining a diversity of project sizes and types and operating as an open and collaborative design studio.

We’re looking for an experienced BIM Specialist to replace our outgoing team member, who was an integral part of developing and executing our BIM strategy. You will work closely with our leadership and project teams as we continue to evolve our BIM processes. We need someone who can progress our current implementation plan, contribute fresh ideas, and help us reach our BIM goals. We see this as a highly collaborative role where excellent communication, organizational and planning skills will be the foundation to streamlining and optimizing the documentation of design work and ensuring projects run smoothly on a day to day basis.
- Experience:_
1. Diploma or degree in a related AEC field
2. 5+ years office/studio experience in a BIM role
3. Job site experience
4. Proficient with Revit, the Autodesk AEC Collection and Autodesk Construction Cloud
5. Autodesk / Unifi Content Catalog experience
6. Excellent people and communication skills to provide technical information to a broad audience
- General Understanding:_
1. Develop a working knowledge of our architectural practice and implement and maintain BIM processes to suit our specific workflows.
2. Be part of the successful completion of our projects from initial concept, through planning, design and delivery
- BIM Content:_
1. Collaborate with our Digital Practice Specialist to engage with the omb BIM, Revit, Visualization, CA and Spec groups for managing BIM implementation, standards and practices
2. Develop and maintain ACC and Revit templates and families along with details and scripts for design and efficiency
3. Assist with the administration of the BIM execution plans
- BIM Support:_
1. Setup new projects in Revit and coordinate survey, site and context
2. Provide close Revit support to project teams
3. Troubleshoot BIM workflow challenges and liaise with our Digital Practice Specialist to resolve
4. Document and maintain Revit best practices manual
5. Liaise with digital practice specialist for Revit and BIM staff training opportunities
6. Work with Digital Practice Specialist to support technology needs related to BIM
7. Collaborate with project teams and develop project-specific BIM strategies
8. Develop and execute model quality assurance and quality control strategies including model reviews, maintenance and adherence to omb standards
9. Coordinate with project leads and consultants regarding model exchanges
10. Coordinate with in-house visualization specialist for modeling and rendering workflows workflow
11. Review drawings and models before major milestones for conformance with BIM execution plan and omb standards
