We are seeking an art instructor to teach our Procreate Digital Art Class and our Portfolio Art Class, primarily. You have the option of teaching our Art Parties and our After School Pick Up Class (outside work). Preference will be given to those who have time to teach that class. You will need to submit your portfolio and write a lesson plan for this interview.

This opportunity is great for students currently enrolled in any university program and is looking for part time work and to join a relaxed, fun and welcoming team of artists.

Job requirements:

- Must be able to speak clear English with a wide vocabulary to explain simple and complex ideas, art theory, and general instruction to your students in a loud room.
- Must have an iPad and Procreate downloaded
- Must have clear and sound knowledge of Procreate
- Must be able to write lesson plans around Procreate
- Must be mature, highly dependable and always on time
- Must be able to plan and implement art lessons that align with childhood development principles in accordance to your classes.
- Experience leading groups of children
- Strong sketching and/or painting background
- Strong understanding of art fundamentals, and ability to convey that understanding to students
- Excellent organization and time management skills, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Must be able to walk 10 minutes and wait 10 minutes outside each time you work (we pick up our students at surrounding schools.

- We do not require a university education in the arts, although preference will be given to Visual Arts or Fine Arts students currently enrolled in a post secondary education (please state this on your resume)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 9 per week

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
