Job description

**We are currently looking for a passionate Pottery Instructor. Prior experience in ceramic pottery painting, pottery making, conducting birthday parties, summer camps, adult painting is an asset. The position may require knowledge for developing student's art creation and artistic potential through visual expression, by using painting skills and techniques, and to discover and develop talents of students in the field of art and design.**

**Responsibilities and Duties;**

**The Pottery Instructor should be able to perform all or some of the following**:
** Must possess the ability to teach sketch, glaze, acrylic painting, watercolour on pottery or canvas,**

** Have the knowledge to identify the different levels, students are at and to offer customized lessons to prepare them to advance to their next level,**

** Knowledge of hand-building clay, using slab roller, conducting pottery lessons and Princess and birthday parties,**

** Should have a valid driver's license and being able and willing to travel is an asset**

** Evaluate each student’s performance.**

** Kiln firing experience is asset**

** Prepare progress reports.**

**Qualifications and Skills: Minimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skill for Pottery Instructor**

** Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or design or with some work experience as a Pottery Instructor.**

**Salary: Compensation based on experience. Starting from $15:50-$30 per hour.**

**Salary**: $16.50-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
