Vancouver, Canada Night Hoops Basketball Society Full time

Night Hoops will run a one-week basketball camp in July to continue providing basketball playing opportunities for our community's youth.

The camp will run from Mon-Fri (July 17th to 21st) from 10 am to 12 pm.

The structure of the camp is based on Physical Literacy, Life Lessons Workshops, and Emotional Intelligence Learning opportunities, in addition to playing basketball each day.

The position of the Basketball Coach is suited for those with knowledge of basketball who have worked or are studying to work in child/youth care or community-based programs, such as Youth Workers and Recreational Admins.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement basketball techniques in a 1:1 or a 3:3 format.
- Teach and encourage the rules of the game.
- Teach the values of team sports.
- Teach the values of healthy life choices through sports.
- Monitor players' development and collaborate with other coaches to present the best basketball experience on the court.
- Maintain the core values of Night Hoops: Physical Literacy, Inclusion and Empowerment, through Basketball

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 1 week
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: $120.00 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V5K 4A5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
