Live-in Caregiver

London, Canada Holland Residence Full time

A Community Home of Opportunity in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association. This position is primarily night shifts where the employee is responsible for responding to overnight emergency events. The employee is given a one bedroom apartment at no charge for rent, free utilities, internet and cable in exchange for being on site from 8:30pm to 7:30am 7 days a week. The employee must work one day shift a week at $16.55/hour.

**Job Description for Day Shift**:
Residents are independent and we provide meals and light cleaning. If you enjoy cooking, baking and light cleaning, this job is for you Flexible work hours are available between 7:30am-8:30pm. An excellent experience for anyone looking for exposure with controlled mental illness. No experience needed - will be trained.
- Support client in their home and community
- Provide support with Activities of Daily Living
- Dispensing Medication
- Assist with meal preparation and light household chores
- Assess, and record well-being of client
- First aid/CPR certification completion by first night shift
- Ability to pass vulnerable positions screening check
- Interest in learning comfort of behaviour management techniques
