**Position Summary**
We are seeking a permanent full-time experienced Asset administrator to realize on assets in bankruptcy estates and assess reviewable transactions. In this role you will work closely with the Asset Manager to ensure that all assets are realized on and will assist in the general administration of the estates.
**Major Responsibilities**
- Accurately inputting pertinent client information into Ascend (insolvency software), File Assure, SharePoint etc.
- Realizing on assets in bankruptcy estates including real property, vehicles, investments, and reviewable transactions
- Following-up and liaising with debtors, creditors, and other relevant parties
- Reviewing secured proofs of claim, proof of security documents and deemed trust claims
- Issuing release letters
- Realizing on secured or third-party assets, when applicable
- Drafting disallowance notices for proofs of claim
- Conducting inspector’s meetings
- Reviewing summary administration files to determine if they are eligible for conversion to ordinary administration
- Completing Statements of Receipts and Disbursements (SRDs)
- Reviewing Proof of Claims (POCs) and resolving issues as necessary
- General administrative tasks, such as faxing scanning, copying etc.
- Additional duties may be assigned as required
**Qualifications**
- Self-starting, multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to focus on setting priorities and managing time effectively
- Detail-oriented, logical individual with the ability to sort through any incoming asset documentation and identify potential areas for asset realization and any potential concerns for the Trustee
- Proactive team-player with a strong desire to assist and motivate others
- Goal-oriented individual who ensures deadlines are met while maintaining high client satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals and build rapport
- Advanced financial analytical skills
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneNote etc.) and Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Prior knowledge and work experience with insolvency industry software programs is an asset
