Breakwall Brewing Company is family owned and operated in the heart of Port Colborne, Ontario. Our large taproom and restaurant provides space for the community to meet with friends and family over delicious beer and food. We have a rotating tap list which provides a variety of balanced and flavourful beers. Our philosophy is to make great tasting beer and food and have fun while doing it. During the summer months we are expanding to include a cafe to our existing business.

Seasonal Barista & Bartender

**Reports To**

General Manager

**Job Overview**

We are looking for a trustworthy and reliable Barista & Bartender to join our team.

To be a successful Barista you should be outgoing, personable, and adept at stress management.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Craft all drink options on the menu
- Managing cafe inventory and orders
- Welcome and provide customers with exceptional customer service
- Ensure bar is fully stocked, organized and clean
- Greeting and confirming walk-in, and telephone reservations
- Understand proper opening procedures
- Handle cash, debit and credit transactions
- Bartending for the lunch and afternoon crowd
- Knowledge on all beers on tap
- Able to change a keg and CO2 (will be trained)
- Ability to recommend beer and food pairings
- Clearing glassware, silverware, and crockery from each table once guests have completed
- Providing guests with their checks after service

**Qualifications**
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Smart Serve
- Previous Barista experience
- Wearing and maintaining the prescribed uniform.
- Excellent verbal communication and memorization skills.
- Great interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain composed, particularly during stressful or uncomfortable circumstances
- Availability to work weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to perform additional duties to facilitate the restaurant's operations, as needed
- Knowledge of craft beer and coffee

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- English not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Port Colborne, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
