Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Business Operations, the Procurement and Operations Support Specialist provides administrative, organizational and clerical support for the day-to-day operations and special activities within the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. The incumbent plays an important role in planning, decision-making, and organizational processes. The incumbent ensures accuracy of financial, and procurement information and provides an important link with internal administrators and departments, external vendors, organizations and individuals. The incumbent helps organize, and co-ordinate Faculty projects and administrative operations, providing support to faculty, and staff.

What You’ll be Doing

Primary liaison for the procurement process in the Faculty by supporting faculty and staff through the procurement process, including requisition entry, workflow management, advising on procurement procedures and adherence to documentation compliance;
Providing analytical and administrative support to the financial and administrative operations of the Faculty including, cost transfers, budget tracking and reconciliation, database management, and absence reporting;
Providing administrative support to assist with program reviews, and special funded projects;
Providing administrative support to assist with the execution of special events;
Providing general information according to Sheridan's policies and procedures;
Explaining operational policies and procedures to faculty and staff;
Liaising with other Sheridan departments to resolve queries;
Performs other related duties as assigned.

About You

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You enjoy balancing many different tasks and can prioritize multiple projects while staying organized and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You demonstrate excellent judgement, initiative and creative problem-solving skills.

A minimum of 3 years of office experience is preferred. The incumbent must demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment, the ability to problem solve, organize and prioritize duties, make decisions, work independently, and deal with conflicting deadlines.

The ability to research, collect, and analyze data is also required as are excellent organization, communication, and human relations skills.

**Campus Location**: Trafalgar (may be assigned activities at any Sheridan campus) This position is currently working in a hybrid model with days on campus.

**Employee Group**: Part-time Support - Regular

**Hourly Rate**: $28.45 + 4% in lieu of vacation

**Hours/Wee k**: 24

**Hours**: Monday - Thursday 9am - 3:30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch, working hours flexible upon hire)
