As our relationships and fundraising efforts have expanded, the opportunity has emerged to grow the fundraising team to help bolster and amplify our efforts.
**The Role**
We are seeking a Managing Director, Investor Relations, to oversee and lead our fundraising activities and client service activities. This role is new and has been created to reflect the firm’s growth in the last few years and our ambitions to build on that success. If you’re passionate about growth, leadership, building relationships and fundraising in the PE space, this role could be right for you.
**Responsibilities**
- Design, implement and lead fundraising campaigns
- Collaborate on sales strategy with the firm’s Managing Directors, including which markets or channels to focus on, which new products to consider, and staffing requirements to realize the opportunities
- Continue to build the sales team, both in terms of size and capabilities
- Analyze sales reports and monitor funnel. Make accurate projections on where sales will come from across various channels
- Ensure the team has clear objectives and targets and hold the team accountable for achieving activity targets.
- Design sales processes and KPIs that drive desired sales outcomes
- Set individual sales targets for each member of the team
- Provide a clear flow of information about fundraising efforts to the firm’s Managing Directors on a monthly basis
- Build and develop relationships with advisors, family offices and wealthy individuals
- Spend approximately one-third of your time covering clients directly
- Lead the effort in opening up new channels and firm-level relationships
- Assist with the coordination of legal documents and marketing materials for funds
- Provide investment updates and attend to any client service needs of existing clients

**Qualifications & Skills Required**
- You have industry experience._You bring 10+ years of experience in the investment management industry. You ideally have experience raising capital for alternative investments / private capital funds and possess a deep understanding of the wealth management industry and advisor practices. You crave growth and knowledge and are keen to deepen your knowledge of private equity and the secondary market.
- You have strong leadership skills._ You have proven yourself in some form of leadership and/or managerial capacity. You have extensive sales & marketing management experience. You have run a team, set team targets, helped team members achieve their goals and held them accountable when results fell short. You can inspire others to perform by working hard, leading by example, and encouraging collaboration (and shared learning).
- You are a relationship builder. _You have a proven passion and approach to creating meaningful and sustainable relationships with investment advisors. You have established a network of advisor relationships. You build relationships with a consultative approach, focused on defining needs and objectives and serving advisors for the long term.
