**Location**: Edmonton, AB (Onsite)

**About the Role**:
630 CHED is looking for a Talk Show Content Producer based out of Edmonton. Reporting to the Manager of Talk and Talent, you will be responsible for producing dynamic, interesting and informative locally focused talk shows. Shifts may include early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

**You'll be working on things like**:

- Creating an exciting, interesting, informative, community minded show
- Having diverse knowledge of all things topical both locally and nationally
- Creating and researching story ideas
- Developing and maintaining news contacts
- Possible on-air responsibilities
- Public appearances as required
- Chasing and booking guests
- Creating daily rundowns
- Audio editing

If you have the following we want to hear from you
- Post-secondary education in journalism, radio broadcasting, or related field
- Passion for news or talk radio - you are engaged in the news cycle and can almost always discuss the top two or three stories of the day; you have an eagerness to always be asking, ‘what’s our next guest or topic?’
- Ability to write for all media platforms
- Expertise in audio editing
- Strong interviewing skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of local and national news events
- Dynamic drive to develop shareable content (audio, Facebook lives)
- Understanding and strengths in New Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and podcasting
- News experience, preferably in talk radio is an asset
- Friendly positive attitude
- Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills
- Creative, energetic, fun, outgoing, positive, team player
