**General Accountability**

The General Labourer is responsible for assisting the Shipper/Receivers with safe and efficient shipping activities, receiving, picking and storage of materials. Much of this position involves general labour consisting of heavy lifting and shadowing the Shipper/Receivers to assist as required.

Hours of work: 9:00 am -5:30 pm Monday to Friday.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Frequent manually picking of 50 lb bags of product.
- Shadowing Shipper/Receivers to assist with general labour.
- Cleaning, sweeping, tidying
- Ensure optimal, organized and safe storing of products within the warehouse
- Practice safe work habits and good housekeeping at all times.
- Other duties as assigned

**Working Conditions**
- Fast paced, stressful and physically demanding work
- Warehouse environment with extreme temperatures
- Repetitive manual lifting for frequent order picking of 50 lb bags of product
- Dirty, dusty, busy environment

**Requirements**:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Accuracy and eye for detail are a must
- Be able to work independently with mínimal guidance as well as take direction and be comfortable in an active supporting general labour role to the Shipper/Receivers
- Physical strength to endure repetitive manual lifting of 25 kg bags a must

This job is heavy on manual labour - it is a very physical job.

**Salary**: $19.95 per hour
