Receptionist (6 Month Contract)

**About Lincoln Electric**
**Major Responsibilities (summary)**:
- To report directly to the Plant Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to incoming communications and visitors for the purpose of gaining clarity and approval.
- To answer the switchboard in a polite and friendly manner, direct calls, respond to internal and external inquiries as appropriate, forward messages and request to staff and re-route callers when appropriate in a courteous and friendly manner.
- To greet visitors with a friendly, diplomatic, and professional demeanour on all occasion.
- To take messages and fax communication, distribute messages, open and sort mail, receive couriers, assist with office filing.
- To assist with office administration activities as required, including but not limited to preparation and distribution of merit rating files for hourly staff members.
- To arrange for limousine and taxi services as required and to maintain records of these arrangements.
- To call delivery services for (envelopes and parcels) pick-up and delivery (keeping receipts of all pick-ups).
- When all receptionist duties are completed then helping with additional office tasks and general team assistance is encouraged.
- Act as a backup In the absence of the Executive Assistant, and provide confidential administrative support services to the Managing Director in a discreet, timely and efficient manner, including but not limited to screening their calls, mail, schedule meetings, expense reports, travel arrangements, filling.
- To alert the Plant Manager of problems with telephones throughout the office and plant and call for service when applicable.
- To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company Performance Appraisal Process and Merit Rating System.

Grade 12
**Minimum Experience & Training Requirement**:
- More than 6 months
