Celebright is a fast growing, Ottawa based company. We design permanent holiday lighting systems, which combine custom lighting controller hardware with industry leading cloud based control. We’re a tight knit group of nice people, with a focus on creating quality products and delivering an excellent customer experience.
We’re looking for a bookkeeper to manage daily accounting and clerical tasks. While working independently, you’ll both external clients and our internal departments. The bookkeeper will report directly to the executive team with access to the CFO for assistance if needed.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Invoicing and processing payments
- Entering bills & expenses, and ensuring our vendors are paid promptly
- Monthly reconciliation of accounts
- Help CFO prepare for taxes
- Prepare internal monthly reports
- Payroll
- Bookkeeping of accounts for both our Canadian and US Corporations
- Assists with various clerical tasks
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- A solid understanding of accrual bookkeeping, debits and credits, and bank reconciliations
- Practical experience with government filings such as HST, WSIB, T4s, etc
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good time management & organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently both a self-starter and able to take direction
- Courteous and just generally nice to be around
- Knowledge of US accounting and government reporting requirements is an asset
**Education and Experience**:
- College or university level certificate in accounting or bookkeeping
- Quickbooks Online
- Bookkeeping Experience
**Location**:
- In-Office located at 30 Edgewater St, Kanata, ON
**Compensation**:
- $45k - $55k/yr base salary to be negotiated based on successful applicant's skill set and experience
- Bonus: Annual bonus as part of company profit sharing program
