**Asbestos Abatement / Demolition Worker**
**Job details**
Western Contracting Ltd. is a demolition company based in Edmonton, AB and is looking for asbestos abatement workers in facilities including institutions, industrial, and commercial buildings.
Competitive wages based on experience. Wages are commensurate with an individual’s experience.
**Responsibilities**:
Perform demolition, asbestos abatement, pre / post construction cleaning, removal and disposal of waste / hazardous materials in a safe manner
Operate a variety of hand and power tools and various forms of machinery relating to the construction industry
Cleaning and preparation of work-sites, cleaning up rubble and debris,
All duties are to be performed according to Western Contracting Ltd.’s operating procedures and OH&S Regulations in order to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to efficiently perform the task.
**Requirements**:
Must have valid class 5 driver’s licence and own vehicle.
Abatement/construction experience is preferred
Current Alberta asbestos worker certification
Must be able to work with others and take direction from others
Able to work out of town from time to time
**Job Type**:
Full-time
**Salary**:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour
**Schedule**:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
**Experience**:
- abatement: 1 year (preferred)
