To manage the global customs & trade compliance special projects and continuous improvement projects in the area of: imports, valuation, country of origin, HS classifications, export controls, reconciliation, security programs, trade agreements and KPI’s. This position will oversee the development of e-training modules and implementation of new ERP system as it relates to trade compliance.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain the relationship and work effectively with regional business operations and government agencies in various countries to get their support for our business growth
- Develop and conduct training to ensure that impacted employees understand and follow Husky’s standard operation procedures, policies, governmental laws and regulations concerning the importation and exportation of goods
- Work with different internal stakeholders effectively to drive compliance with the local regulations and support the business growth
- Contribute to business strategy and projects by analyzing and leveraging related trade policies and regulations
- Provide Trade Compliance expertise and advice regarding system implementations/changes impacting imports and exports
- Support Global Customs and Trade Compliance and Logistics related projects and lead local continuous improvement projects
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvements for process efficiency, cost savings and effectiveness through automation to achieve excellence of compliance and operations
- Global HS Classification - develop a global process to streamline the data and daily maintenance of HS classifications for all regions; including training and process reviews on a continuous basis
- Trade Agreements - develop tools to maintain global data for all operations, including vendor solicitation, qualification and employee training
- SharePoint - develop and manage Customs & Trade Compliance & Logistics SharePoint site
- Customs Security Programs - key resource and lead for supplier compliance and organization operations in regards to C-TPAT/PIP/AEO programs
- Ensure the Customs operations stably and compliantly based on regular internal audits
- Participate in the Customs audits and Customs E-book reconciliation (China)
- Negotiate with government officials as company representative
- Develop and implement policies, guideline updates and conversation for business opportunity
- Develop and maintain global Customs & Trade Compliance KPI’s and Customs Broker performance levels. Drive long-term automation of metrics.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Business experience, preferably in Customs Operations and Trade Compliance, Logistics, International trade or related area
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trade and/or trade compliance related position(s)
- Relevant professional qualification in trade compliance and/or logistics
- Familiar with customs regulations in various countries including processing trade, HS classification, valuation and import and export control, co
