**Position Overview**:
As an Outreach Specialist for the Unhoused Community, you will serve as a crucial link between our organization and the individuals we aim to support. Your role is pivotal in understanding the unique needs of each person, offering immediate assistance, and navigating the complexities of securing sustainable housing and essential services.
**Core Responsibilities**:
**Community Outreach**:
- Proactively engage with the unhoused community in various environments, fostering trust and a safe space for communication.
- Recognize and prioritize immediate needs, providing swift responses or referrals to emergency services when required.
**Individualized Support**:
- Assess and identify the unique needs, strengths, and aspirations of each individual.
- Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized service strategies, focusing on long-term stability and housing security.
**Resource Facilitation and Advocacy**:
- Guide clients through the intricacies of local housing and service options, ensuring an informed and supportive process.
- Represent and champion the needs of clients with various stakeholders, streamlining access to essential services and fostering understanding.
**Documentation and Collaborative Engagement**:
- Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, progress, and services rendered.
- Engage in reflective practice through team discussions, contributing to a cohesive and informed service approach.
- Empathetic communicator with a talent for connecting with diverse groups.
- Understanding of the multifaceted nature of homelessness and a commitment to proactive, solution-focused service.
- Autonomous yet collaborative work style, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to engage with the community at various locations.
