The Assistant General Manager is expected to perform a variety of duties related to service delivery, sales and brand awareness within the Ottawa region. The Assistant General Manager will work alongside the General Manager to assist the overall health of the organization and culture within the office. The Assistant General Manager will have a responsibility for networking and developing key referral provider relationships in our territory in addition to being responsible for ensuring achievement of revenue objectives.

**Essential Job Function**:

- Responsible for researching and developing Referral Provider Network relationships and producing referrals; performs all phases of consultative sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate Home Instead® services and additional community resources, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary.
- Achieve inquiry generation objectives for assigned territory with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share.
- In conjunction with Home Instead franchise leadership, develops sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Home Instead brand. Effectively presents Home Instead marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meeting, as well as planning, arranging, and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers.

**Additional Responsibilities**:
As the AGM, you will assist the GM in all duties assigned. The Sales function is the Primary Responsibility of this position, however, involvement in the Operations of the Office is critical to development in this role. As a result, Secondary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensure a robust Quality Assurance program is executed and accomplished whereby identifying areas of opportunity to increase service hours, selling in a service culture and develop strong relationships with the RPN’s in our community by being responsive to their needs.
- Expand and drive all aspects of the business through the development of a culture revolving around continuous improvement & growing Home Instead’s reputation in the community.
- Continuously evaluate the Business Plan to ensure high quality care, client satisfaction and to move the business forward to achieve projections.
- Managing On-Call activities as needed and directed by the General Manager or VP of Growth
- Assist in developing and managing the annual franchise operational plan and budget.
- Continually coaching and mentoring the team and setting good examples of service excellence, behavior, and positive attitude.
- Achieve the annual operational plan’s revenues, gross profit, profitability, and other operational goals by the stated milestones.
- Assist in developing and managing all critical numbers of the business and report them to the General Manager
- Assist with managing outcomes of all department activities and direct changes that will drive achievement of operational goals.
- Assist with managing mentoring, and coaching each member of the operational staff to ensure the needs of the client, employee, and company are consistently being met.
- Be accountable and responsible for the growth of our reputation in the community, Key Player growth & team performance, growth of business sales and the growth of quality service and CAREGiver & client satisfaction.
