**General Job Description**:
The Warehouse Manager manages all aspects of the warehouse operations (Inbound, Outbound, ICQA and Produce). The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management, continuous improvement, and quality compliance of the Meridian warehouse facility. This individual is instrumental in the development and implementation of strategies and process changes to improve supply chain efficiency and control costs while ensuring the optimization of standard work procedures.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Give customers the best possible experience
- Ensure our Meridian service and hospitality standards are delivered to customers
- Lead with positivity and empathy, while ensuring that team members respect their peers and the requirements of their positions.
- Engage and develop your direct team through coaching, support and regular feedback.
- Provide instruction and support to your direct team of supervisors and coordinators, alongside the rest of warehouse management.
- Manage product selection, quality, freshness, and packaging standards
- Meet sales goals and participate in quarterly/annual results evaluations and forecasting
- Achieve profit targets through effective planning and operational coordination.
- Prepare for and conduct daily team huddles and other communication touchpoints.
- Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs. Develop concrete plans for ongoing improvement.
- Manage the warehouse labour budget, with a focus on ongoing efficiencies
- Oversee warehouse space utilization, day-to-day facility function, and general supply management, with an eye towards maximizing cost efficiency.
- Assist with labour relations for a team of over 20 employees, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and general employee assistance.
- Support the JHSC committee in promoting a safe work environment.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Challenge all current practices. Develop and execute plans for continuous improvements in efficiency and customer experience.
- Foster strong inter-departmental communication practices and embrace the internal service role of the Operations Team.
- Assist the Sr. Management in developing & executing team strategies.
- Proactively forecast and manage warehouse capacity constraints and work to avoid disruptions.
- Seek out and engage in opportunities to further personal leadership development.
- Additional/Other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous warehouse experience is required
- Must align with Meridian’s culture and core values
- A proven background in distribution and strong background in inventory control
- Previous team lead or supervisory experience is required
- History of working with food, either in a service, retail, or production role, and strong understanding of food safety and quality control processes is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support day to day operations while completing key projects and analysis
- Proficiency with ERP computer systems
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. continuously
- Ability to work on your feet all day, bending, leaning, crouching, and walking
- Ability to work for extended periods, and entire shifts in our walk-in refrigerated coolers or freezers
- Material handling equipment certification (Forklift, Electric pallet-jack)
- Reliable, accountable and trust-worthy
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline is an asset
- Safety footwear (Steel-Toes) is a requirement for all warehouse positions

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
