**What You Will Do**:
- **Warehouse Operations Management**: Take the helm in overseeing all warehouse operations, from picking and packing to receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping, ensuring timely same-day shipping.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:Ensure strict adherence to dangerous goods regulations and guiding principles, maintaining compliance at all times.
- **Resource Optimization**:Optimize space, equipment, and labor usage to maximize productivity and effectively meet customer demands.
- **Technology Integration**: Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and cutting-edge technology tools to monitor inventory levels and streamline order management processes.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead a dedicated team of warehouse staff, providing comprehensive training, guidance, and performance management to drive operational excellence and foster a positive work environment.
- **Safety Oversight**: Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations and best practices, prioritizing the creation of a safe working environment for all employees.
- **Interdepartmental Collaboration**:Collaborate closely with other departments, including finance, purchasing, and customer service, to seamlessly coordinate activities and meet customer requirements effectively.
- **Process Improvement Initiatives**: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
- **Record Keeping**:Maintain meticulous records of inventory, shipments, and other warehouse-related data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
**What You Bring to The Table**:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse management or a similar environment.
- Possession of a valid forklift license.
- Ability to lift or move heavy objects.
- Experience working with a forklift, walkie-stacker, and pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as Sage X3, and proficiency in using technology tools to drive operational excellence.
- Completion of Dangerous Goods Safety and Transport Training, including WHMIS certification.
- Solid understanding of WorkSafe, WHMIS requirements, and Transport Canada regulations.
- Technically versed in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organization and communicate with clients.
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
**Nice to Haves**:
- Experience in the biopharmaceutical, R&D, or Life Sciences industry.
