Approximately 40% of the world’s mobile traffic is carried through an Ericsson network. The fifth generation (5G) of Radio Access Networks (RAN) is happening now and Ericsson is the recognized technology leader in bringing it to the market.

The organization within Business Unit Networks seeks to work closely with our customers, passionate about the delivery of virtualized RAN solutions.

We try to accelerate product development with new fresh thinking. We challenge established flow with new methodologies and are active in the open-source communities.

**Overview**:
Working with a full stack virtualization of the 5G NR CU and DU.
Working with CRAN & DRAN test configurations.
Working with COTS HW including accelerators
Working with a Cloud Native infrastructure based on Kubernetes/Docker for SW based on micro-services and containers.
Working with 5G open RAN interfaces and technologies (e.g. F1, X2/Xn, A1, 01, LLS )

**You will**:

- Be actively engaged in the architecture definition and proactively drive the integration of a cloud RAN test infrastructure.
- Define and ensure implementation of an integration and test strategy that improves and takes advantages of a DevOps infrastructure.
- Take a fresh and innovative look at the management of a 5G cloud RAN based test environment.
- Drive the definition and implementation of integration steps and building of lab configurations.
- Deliver scalability, resilience, and reliable test environment infrastructure.
- Cultivate test systematization, implementation and automation that enable rapid test infrastructure deployment.
- Work with the test community to remove impediments to the daily integration tasks.

**To be successful you will have**:

- In depth knowledge of Linux OS: (RedHat, Ubuntu, Wind River) Strong experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, OpenStack).
- Strong background in IP networking fundamentals.
- Helm, Kubernetes and Docker knowledge, RedHat Open Shift, WR (detailed) (installation, config admin, deployment, troubleshooting) an advantage.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure deployment, troubleshooting and cluster management.
- Experience working in a devops environment.
- Devops automation background with languages such as Python and Ansible.
- Background in 4G/5G technologies an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

**Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements**:

- 2-3 years’ work in cloud infrastructure management.
- Working knowledge of 5G technologies.
- BSc or MSc level in an SW related field
