Business Systems Analyst

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Business Systems Analyst is an integral team member of Atlantic’s Enterprise Applications group responsible for leveraging technology to revolutionize our core capabilities to maximize business outcomes. This role will join a growing team that will contribute to the digital delivery portfolio within Atlantic. Our technology projects underpin Atlantic’s digital strategy, which is focused on systems, data, and automation.
The Business Systems Analyst is technically savvy with a thorough understanding of business processes and experience in ERP such as Infor, Infor Cloud Suite Financials, Salesforce, Encore and Esko WebCenter. This role will focus on global systems deployment working directly with key business leads to collect business requirements, prepare functional specifications, prototype defined functionality and assist in the overall change associated with a global deployment.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Applications and in partnership with the Business Process Owners, Business Analysts from other functions, and IT Management to ensure the project progresses along agreed timelines and meets the key business requirements and success criteria.
**Location: Scarborough, Ontario (currently hybrid)**
**What you will be doing**:
- Design, configure and deploy the global ERP solution.
- Documenting business processes, business scenarios, detailed business requirements, prototyping solution, writing and coordination of test script execution, monitoring, and system changes.
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet business needs.
- Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers.
- Develop and update training materials for end/key users including appropriate system process documentation, procedures and/or work instructions.
- Provides project leadership, configuration management, testing, and support for assigned financial subsystems. Develops implementation, maintenance, and communication plans. Drafts or revises related policies and procedures.
- Performs lead responsibilities on an on-going basis for assigned financial subsystems, including annual project improvements and maintenance.
- Adhere to project schedules, action logs, and dashboard reporting maintaining a list of ongoing and future activities.
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serves as a key liaison with employees in other departments, third parties, and other stakeholders.
- Provides end user security management and configuration management for financial systems. Provides support for configuration changes, workflow changes, and other system process modifications. Participates in change management control of financial systems. Works with IT Services to control access to financial systems data.
- Helps provide support of financial systems through the IT Services Help Desk.
- Develops plans and leads users on the testing and implementation of system upgrades and modifications. Works with IT team and system vendors to identify and implement upgrades. Assures modifications and upgrades are successfully tested before implementation to the live environment. Reports systems issues to systems vendors and works with vendors to resolve the issues. - Utilizes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- For ongoing business needs and ad hoc queries, identify and prepare business requirement documents working with users. Work with technical solution team to develop and test new reports.
- Works with business users and technical solution team to resolve complex reporting issues.
- Documents workflow processes to create efficiency in the operation of financial Systems. Works with technical solution team to implement complex workflow processes.
- Supports best practices for system and process change management, documentation of system processes and business practices, and the development of standards for processes.
