To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a **Cleaner**.

**JOB SUMMARY**:
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
To clean and maintain the building for Crosslinks Seniors through the night, by:

- Mopping, washing, Garbage removal, waxing, buffing, dusting and/or vacuuming all the common areas in the building according to established schedules and procedures given by the Property Management Coordinator and or the Program Director.
- Removing snow or leaves from walkway, as required;
- Monitoring security of the building, ensuring that doors are locked and alarms activated; responding to calls from Security firm;
- Reporting on any required repairs or unusual occurrences in the building or regarding residents, to supervisor and/ or Personal Support staff;
- Responding to, and following protocols regarding fire or other building emergencies;
- Assisting Personal Support staff respond to emergencies or other incidents with residents as required;
- Completing required work sheets, attending staff meetings as required.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Physical ability to provide cleaning to the building including the safe operation of household mechanical equipment;
- 1 - 2 years’ experience, and/or knowledge of building cleaning in a large residential setting;
- Ability to work on own, or as directed;
- Ability to respond to building or resident emergencies and follow established protocols;
- Ability to speak and write in English, good interpersonal skills to interact with seniors;
- Knowledge of health and safety, WHMIS, emergency building protocols;
