**Purpose**:
The Logistics & Facilities Associate is responsible for facility maintenance and managing the logistics for customer and supplier pick-up and drop-off. Success in this role will be maintaining the shop to quality AS9100 standards and on-time delivery while following PCI policy and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
Logistics
- Create and manage waybill and receiving logs
- Maintain effective communication with the shipping carriers to ensure accurate and timely booking of shipments
- Build shipping crates as needed to provide suitable packaging and protection for outgoing shipments, taking into consideration the nature and fragility of the items being shipped
- Utilize appropriate packaging materials to safeguard the contents of the shipments during transit
- Pack, load, transport and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
- Assist with loading and unloading items for all deliveries
- Tracking parts inventory and placing orders
- Provide excellent customer service, and answering questions
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
- Organize storage areas and maintain clear shipping & receiving area
- Act as a liaison with freight companies and assist negotiating competitive rates for cost-effective transportation.

Facilities
- Maintain facility cleanliness to maintain the shop and office in AS9100 audit ready state
- Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols and communicating with Health and Safety management team
- Maintain machinery by making sure areas are clean and organized
- Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts etc.
- Fix/assist with fixing equipment
- Experience tacking/welding using MIG (nice to have, but not mandatory)
- Ensure quality and safety standards are met in our day to day working environment
- Assist with various shop projects as needed
- Promote a team environment with a positive attitude
- Participate in ISO, AS 9100 Continuous Improvement requirements
- Machine Maintenance
- Assist with other shop projects, duties and responsibilities as needed.
- General knowledge and experience with using tools
- High school diploma/trade school/on the job experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Fluent English language skills (speak, read & write)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite
- Computer literacy with CRM experience

**Additional qualifications that are nice to have**:

- Forklift license an asset but not required, training available onsite
- JHSC experience an asset

**Competencies**:

- Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Positive outgoing customer focused with excellent customer service skills
- Experience in facility management and janitorial jobs
- Experience in logistics and inventory control

Upon approval, continuing education will be supported by PCI as needed.

**Working conditions**
PCI promotes a safe and clean working environment that meets or exceeds standards prescribed by the Ministry of Labour (Ontario). Work will be conducted indoors in our manufacturing shop. Personal protective equipment will be necessary when operating on the shop floor including safety shoes (CSA Green Triangle) and safety glasses. Respiratory protection, hearing protection, appropriate gloves and work suits will be mandatory as required.

**Other conditions include**:

- Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts, on occasion, based on demanding manufacturing schedules

**Physical requirements**:

- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Work with hand tools and shop equipment
- Standing for 6 - 8 hours

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
