**Social Services Volunteer Coordinator**

**Contract - Canada Summer Job**

**This positions reports to**: The Education and Training Specialist
- Completion of or Enrollment in a post-secondary degree in office administration, human resources, volunteer management, business administration or combination of equivalent education and work experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years of office administration experience in a busy office environment
- Proficient in the use of computers, including the Microsoft Office suite
- Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Screening within one month of employment
- Experience working in the community services or healthcare sector is an asset.
- Experience as a volunteer and/or working with volunteers is an asset
- Provide High degree of professionalism and dedication to self, coworkers and clients.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Be proficient in the use of computers, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Provide excellent customer service skills.
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigrant and Refugee Protection Act* and;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

SALARY: $17.55 / hour

**Note**:This position is funded for 35 hours in total. Hours of work and duration of position will be determined based on the needs of the department
