We are looking for a Construction Project Manager/Estimator, someone who is professional and is a self-motivated and an outgoing individual. must have a valid G License, and must be bondable. Applicant must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience as a project manager/estimator or 3+ years as a carpenter in construction. He or she must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, which include working from drawings, daily communication with insurance adjusters, providing updates on portals, and providing requested documents They must display exemplary code of conduct and work ethic with all your team members, clients, vendors and insurance adjusters.

**Responsibilities**:

- Write and review estimates with symbility/xactimate
- Manage and supervise employees
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Display exemplary code of conduct and work ethic with all your team members, clients, vendors and insurance adjusters
- Provide updates on portals of all new developments pertaining to the claim
- Coordinate work inspections with sub vendors
- Provide requested documents to the insurance adjusters such as asbestos reports, schedule of loss, moisture monitoring logs, roof/plumber/electrician reports
- Assign technicians to specific tasks or areas based on qualifications experience, capabilities and workload
- Ensure proper safety for employees and safety equipment
- Ensure that employees adhere to company and customer policies on Health & Safety, WHMIS, GMP’s
- Assist with problem solving (ex: disciplinary issues, maintenance issues, injury report, etc.)
- Monitor employee performance and recommend discipline if required
- Staff must be “on call” often 24hrs a day, to deal with bad weather, and emergencies at existing job sites or new job sites.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- Proven experience as carpenter
- Hands on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Understanding of reconstruction practices for property that has suffered water, wind, mould, fire and vandalism damages
- Knowledge of building codes and electrical, or plumbing, or mechanical and related codes
- knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Management and leadership skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Knowledge of symbility/xactimate an asset
- IICRC Certification an asset

- 8 hour shift
