Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning, Reporting and Compliance, the Manager, Financial Planning and Reporting (FP&R) is a key member of the Finance Leadership Team. This role provides the overall financial planning for Halton Healthcare, development of the operating budget, completion of operating forecasts and financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. This role also directly supervises the activities of the Business Operation Consultants and the Junior Business Operations Consultant.

The manager is a passionate, forward-thinking, people-driven leader who can manage and prioritize competing priorities while leading, motivating and upskilling a high performing team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide financial consultation and analysis to hospital program leaders to enable decision making on resource utilization and ensure sustainable operations.
- Coordinate and plan the annual budget process.
- Work with the stakeholders to provide business development financial analysis and consultation in the completion of business cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Interpret and determine the financial implications of new legislation and Provincial Funding methodologies.
- Develop and maintain positive partnerships with external stakeholders such as Ontario Health and the MOH to influence positive financial outcomes for Halton Healthcare.
- Cultivate and coach staff to build partnerships with Program Managers and Directors; ensuring that they understand the customer’s perspective is the driving force behind all activities.
- Coach, mentor and support the FP&R team and ensure continuous professional development and adoption of new technologies and best practices.
- Conduct team performance reviews, ensuring team members are meeting their maximum potential and/or accessing supports to allow them to reach their full potential.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA).
- Previous hospital experience is preferred.
- Minimum six years experience as accountant or analyst, managerial experience is preferred.
- Superior project management skills and ability to prioritize against competing deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent critical thinking and judgement skills.
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization in a fast-paced, high profile, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external partners.
- Highly articulate with strong verbal communications and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with hospital staff of all levels and specialties in a positive, cooperative manner.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
- Broad knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial internal controls and Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS).
- Understanding impact of accounting issues, and of hospital activities, on CPWC, or of other Hospital funding formulae or indicators.
- Familiarity with hospital databases (CIHI) and hospital funding formulas.
- Knowledge of Meditech financial modules and the budgeting system “Budman” preferred.
- Knowledge of Ontario Cost Distribution Methodology (OCDM).
- Knowledge of data analytics and familiar with data reporting platforms such as PowerBI and/or Tableau.
