Bilingual Business Analyst - Toronto

The Bilingual Business Analyst for Trisura’s eCommerce Platform (Portal) is a member of the IT team who will guide and support the activities of the product development team. Working closely with the product manager, the business analyst will liaise with the business stakeholders to refine product requirements, translate those requirements into user stories and validate that the deployed solution meets the business need.

**Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Develop and prepare business requirements and user stories
- Analyze current state, perform gap analysis, and help evaluate solutions that align to business needs
- Participate in discussions with stakeholders to develop, validate, and prioritize business requirements
- Collaborating with business users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Responsible for developing and curating ideas that will deliver value to all stakeholders
- Develop, produce, and maintain procedures, process maps, and documentation as required
- Coordinate with the product team to test software changes and ensure that functionality meets stated user requirements
- Helping to define the overall product vision and road map
- Helping to manage the product backlog and prioritizing based on changing requirements
- Assisting in all stages of product creation including design, development and validation
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
- Liaising with the underwriting and claims team and other end-users to deliver updates
- Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints

**Qualifications**:

- Full professional fluency in both French and English
- In-depth knowledge of the Insurance Industry with an emphasis on Surety and Specialty Insurance solutions
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a business analyst and/or product owner
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and quality standards
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar
- Business Analyst (CCBA or CBAP) certification is an asset
- University degree in the field of Business, Technology, Management, Communications or equivalent
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
