Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, F&B, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the F&B outlet with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guideline s while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. This position may be performed in a restaurant, buffet operation, on a racing grandstands or other areas. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
This is a seasonal position to support our 2023 Live Racing Season from April to October.

Key Accountabilities
- Clears tables or counters a s soon as they are vacated
- Removes used dishes/glasses/cutlery/linen/paper products; disposes of them according to the outlet operational guidelines
- Cleans tables and counters according to outlet operational guidelines
- Assist in the overall maintenance of F&B areas including floors, walls, windows, etc.
- Assist Servers in replenishing coffee carts (if applicable)
- Assists with restocking as required and maintains a clean and tidy stock area
- Minimizes breakage by properly filling bus pans
- Collects recyclables for removal
- Provides guests with additional items as requested
- Performs opening and closing duties as required
- Runs food to guests as requested
- Cleans spills as they occur
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, -ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 6 months work experience
- POS experience
- Food Safety Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Work Environment Considerations

Regular office, restaurant or hotel environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
