At Manotick Veterinary Hospital, we are looking for another energetic, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual join our team As the first and last contact you will be the face of the clinic and essential in creating lasting relationships through effective communication and trust. Our team of professionals works collaboratively to ensure the well-being of every animal that walks through our doors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting veterinarian during examinations and procedures
- Issuing invoices and taking payments
- Providing compassionate care and handling of animals
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and treatment areas
- Effective internal communication between clients and veterinary staff members
- Keeping a clean environment and re-stocking of supplies

- Full or Part time hours, maximum 3 evening shifts per week (until 7pm)

**Skills and Basic Qualifications**:

- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathy and customer service
- Excellent telephone skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy stimulating (sometimes loud) environment
- Work effectively as a team or on their own, with or without supervision
- Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Previous client service/client care related experience required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals. Should be able to lift 40 pounds on own and be able to walk or stand for extended periods.
- Existing knowledge of medical terminology and veterinary computer software systems (Avimark) an asset
