**Claire Place Veterinary Hospice** is renowned in the Ottawa and surrounding region for its leadership in delivering in-home, end-of-life care for pets. Our team members share a natural affinity for animal care and a sincere concern for the emotional well-being of our clients, allowing us to provide compassionate end-of-life care.

We are in search of a CSR with exceptional customer service skills to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic and diverse group, offering empathetic and supportive care to families seeking our end-of-life services for their beloved pets.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging positively with pet families and guiding emotional end-of-life conversations in a calm and peaceful manner.
- Accurately document crucial medical information for each pet, provide guidance to pet parents regarding quality of life decision-making, and schedule appointments.
- Reach out to veterinary hospitals in the area to educate them about our services and how we can assist their patients.
- Maintain and clean the office space (inside and outside), restocking medical/office supplies, and running errands as needed.

Other duties may be assigned to ensure the highest standard of customer service.

**Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 8 am - 6 pm, Saturday & Sunday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm (may include rotational holiday shifts).**

**Requirements**:

- Experience working independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Comfortable working respectfully with and around remains of deceased patients.
- Ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and local animal hospitals.
- Quick learning of software such as DaySmart/Vetter and Gmail, among others, to support your role.
- High attention to detail and excellent communication/written skills.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, with manual dexterity to work on a computer and phone.
- Previous experience in the Veterinary Industry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

- Manotick, ON K4M 1A4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
