**Installation Supervisor - 12 Months Contract**

Carlton Cards, Canada’s leading social expressions/paper products company has an immediate entry level opening for an Installation Supervisor to service Edmonton and surrounding areas.

**This is a 12-month contract position**. **Posting in different regions for 1 open position.**

You will be responsible for the assembly, removal and installation of display fixtures, parts and/or merchandise at the customer’s premises. Through the use of Best Practice techniques, you will merchandise products to corporate standards where necessary. You will also maintain storage (public storage) units with fixture parts. You will operate a company supplied vehicle. You will report to the District Manager.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Meets with Carlton staff and store personnel the day of the revision or installation. Determine final requirements to execute and complete the set-up. Follows corporate store policies and procedures as they affect the set up and merchandising of the card department and security.
- Keeps perpetual inventory of the most used parts and accessories for set-ups. Arranges shipment of usable cabinets and accessories to the other accounts or to a local warehouse where required.
- Dis-assembles old fixtures from retail outlets and works with store personnel who are responsible to arrange for disposal. Unloads and assembles new fixtures on customer’s premises and merchandises displays to corporate standards.
- Contacts the Field Manager assigned to the customer and store personnel at the end of the installation to confirm completion of the display and/or identifies additional action if required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Your Required Skills and Competencies**
- High school diploma required along with experience in basic construction practices (e.g. wall building, basic carpentry, basic equipment installation methodologies).
- Experience with tools, fixtures and merchandising would be an asset.
- Computer literate with good ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, involving bending, loading and unloading.
- Flexible to travel within the designated area on a daily basis, with occasional overnights, using a company provided vehicle.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment; strong time management skills and flexibility to effectively prioritize and ensure completion of work to change priorities as the need arises.
