**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking an **Electrical Site Technician **to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Electrical Field Services, your role will involve:

- Spending periods of time on-site working with an Electrical Site Supervisor to ensure successful installation of Gyptech electrical and control systems during construction phases
- Equipment and control panel testing and quality control
- Testing IO, control circuits, LV power distribution, drives/motors and safety wiring
- Troubleshooting, correcting and repairing problems with electrical & control systems at Gyptech sites during commissioning and support phases
- Helping to troubleshoot VFD’s and other motor control devices as well as various types of industrial networking and communication protocols (Ethernet, Profibus, DH+ )
- Generating Electrical Bid Packages for quoting purposes, including;
- Written specifications, documents and drawings
- Generating electrical installation drawings and documents, including;
- Single line diagrams from motor list summaries.
- Cable schedules from motor and device lists.
- Cable tray layouts.
- Electrical building service drawings.
- Electrical service schematics.

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington; however, it is primarily a field position with the requirement to travel on a consistent basis.

**What You Offer**
- Electrical Apprentice, Technical Diploma, Engineering Degree or a demonstration of equivalent experience
- Experience in industrial environments is an asset
- Works well independently or in a team setting
- Experience with hardware and software for PowerFlex, Sinamic and Yaskawa VFD’s is an asset
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Experienced with AutoCAD
- Able to read different types of electrical schematics (EPLAN, AutoCAD etc...).
- Available for extended international travel to a variety of different locations.
