FOOD PROCESSOR/MACHINE OPERATOR

This Job Offers
- Full Time - $20.50/hour
- Work Monday-Thursday Days
- 3 Day weekend every week
- Full Benefit Package
- Company Pension Match at 5%

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare ingredients in mixing area per established batch list and schedule. This includes weighing, measuring, and verification of proper ingredients
- Ensure lot code identification numbers are documented
- Arrange raw ingredients which are needed for production
- Properly store each ingredient in its assigned place and make sure it is properly covered
- Follow batches with precise measurements to create a very specialized batter
- Operate mixing machinery/ equipment as trained and follow all safety guidelines at all times
- Use a variety of tools (scales, thermometers, knives, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the Production Manager
- Maintain quality of finished product by monitoring texture, shape, and colour of product
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of work area & equipment
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety and quality policies

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Mixing experience preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Good communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role
- Ability to lift 40kg
- Ability to move from one task to another with mínimal distraction

A successful machine/food processor is reliable and able to work with attention to detail. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
