What you’ll do as the Automation Supervisor includes:
- Provide people leadership of a small team of professional automation technologists, specialists and engineers
- Manage team schedule and provide stakeholder input to planning meetings
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians in the development, testing and deployment of advanced aseptic filling machines and related processes.
- Supervise the commissioning of machines through the field production cycle; SAT and IQOQ at the customer facility for multiple product lines
- Provide coaching and advanced technical knowledge in the troubleshooting of Electrical, Mechanical & Industrial Software issues that have not been encountered before.
- Manage and plan for upcoming service trips
- Be an active participant with the on-call hotline
Who you are:
- A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specialising in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics
- 5-10 years experience in programming, mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-orientated - able to identify and spot small deviations to expected design or behaviour
- 5 years’ experience with robotics, PLCs, HMIs, Historian, industrial networking and machine operation with hands-on experience
- Must have updated Canadian passport to travel across borders.
- Willingness to jump in to help solve a customer problem
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or biomedical industry is highly desired
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Standard Work, Six Sigma is highly desired

The salary range for this role is 80-100k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
