Welding Technician

We are currently seeking am entry level Welding Technician in our Weld Development Department.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):

- Developing new welding techniques and procedures.
- Utilizing high precision robots with GTAW, PAW, Variable Polarity and LASER welding power supplies.
- Developing weld programs in order to provide our customers with turn-key welding solutions.
- Working with customers to demonstrate our technology.
- Traveling to various client sites in North America and Internationally (50%).

- Ability to take a leadership role where required
- Understanding of project management and lean manufacturing principles

Key Education/Experience Requirements:

- College level education required* Technician or Technologist Welding Diploma required*
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in the welding industry preferred (co-op experience accepted)
- Knowledge in metallurgy an asset
- Knowledge in FANUC programming an asset
- Knowledge of the following welding processes an asset: PTAW, LASER, GTAW
