**Job Description: 308 A Sheet Metal Technician**
Go Industries is looking for a reliable and hardworking Sheet Metal Technician who will be responsible for installations for our client’s commercial, industrial, and residential customers.

**The Opportunity**
We are looking for experienced full time Sheet Metal Technician to join our prestigious heating and cooling client’s team. This is a full-time opportunity with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.

**Responsibilities**:

- Proficient ability to install but not limited to HVAC units, gas piping (high/ low pressure, welded) flashings, exhaust fans, kitchen hoods, grease ducts, ductless spilt units, radiant heaters, and respective supportive frameworks.
- Must understand new construction home ductwork and be able to compete from conception to completion.
- All finished jobs must adhere to project manager / engineer drawings for heat loss report.
- Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal assemblies.
- Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed and select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
- Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints.
- Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems while in fast-paced environment.
- Start up and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
- Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools, installing, and fabricating duct systems.
- Good housekeeping and organization.
- Work well independently.

**Qualifications**:

- Registered for 308 A apprentice.
- G2 Gas license a bonus.
- Valid G license with a clean driver abstract.
- Commercial and industrial experience an asset.
- Must be competent in reading blueprint and electrical and electronic schematics.
- Must have basic knowledge of construction methods.
- Must be able to operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for HVAC systems.
