The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Ontario Pumped Storage Project (Project), this position is responsible for coordinating work amongst the functional areas within the Project. This position is critical in ensuring work is identified and tracked across multi-disciplinary areas within and outside of the project. Additional duties will include project management of (internal & external) governance components as well as ad-hoc project requests.

What you’ll do
- Support the Director to achieve project deliverables.
- Coordinate requirements and draft decision summaries.
- Work with Project Controls Manager to assess project management requirements and options - system automation, cost, risk, schedule, document controls.
- Work with Project Controls Manager to support reporting efforts.
- Collect and prepare briefings on external and internal lessons learned.
- Create and set up process for OEB requirements as applicable.
- Coordinate requirements from internal governance (PDS); prepare required documents with input from prospective contractors (e.g. PEP, BCS).
- Coordinate requirements for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate work with Project External Relations (ER) team: lead public consultation subteam, coordinate requirements from regulatory processes and ER efforts; lead subteam to manage cost commitments.

Note that these responsibilities will evolve as the project progresses.

Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant Technical diploma/University degree with 15+ years related experience or appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Excellent project management skills
- Experience with mega projects
- Strong analytical, interpretive, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong Leadership competencies to successfully implement strategies.
- Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced, complex situations.
- A self starter, able to work with mínimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
- Expert knowledge in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) environment.
- Experience with hydroelectric projects.
- Engineering and / or Business Degree.
- PMP certification.
