The Employee Relations and Culture Advocate (ERCA) is the **key **relationship builder within their assigned teams. They are responsible to lead, guide and supervise their teams through the successful implementation and monitoring of all personalized services and plans for the people they support.

**YOUR ROLE**
- Sets a professional tone and builds relationships that inspire and encourage team members
- Maintains a positive team culture that resolves conflict through open, constructive and respectful communication
- Supervises the team through DeafBlind Ontario’s Service Model, ensures all personalized services, plans operate within the policies, procedures and values of DBOS
- Leads by example through active and participative hands on support. Ensures all team members have the resources and support
- Disburses house cash and the finances of people supported
- Ensures all employee records are compliance ready for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
- Provides hands-on services for people supported as needed and adheres to the Intervenor Code of Ethics
- Acts as first point of contact for families of people supported and escalates concerns/questions
- Proactively determine staffing requirements and leads the interview and hiring of employees with the assistance of the assigned Recruiter.
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 3-6 years of Intervenor/Developmental services experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education
- Certified Deafblind Intervenor Specialist (CDBIS)
- Completion of American Sign Language 101
- Supervisory/Leadership experience is an asset
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn human resources practices, standards and legislation
- Solid understanding and willingness to learn the unique characteristics and needs of individuals who are Deaf, hard of hearing, non-verbal, deafblind and their families
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Valid G Driver's License is an asset
- Knowledge of French, LSQ, and ASL is an asset

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
