Architectural Technician

The architectural technician position will works with our local builders/contractors clients.
**Main duties**
- Visit jobsite to take measurements and gather information necessary to developing the design
- Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, cabinetry, lighting and other fixtures using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and graphics software
- Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings, and may advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards
- Estimate costs and materials required
- Prepare plans and specifications for the final interior designs in accordance with current practices and codes
- Coordinate timelines with the customer and/or outside contractors for installation of final design
- Work in a multidisciplinary environment
- Prepares necessary documents and transmits and files copies to the relevant offices within the company
- Draw up contracts with the customer for scope of work
- Assisting clients to select millwork products, hardware, specifications of kitchen & bath cabinets etc.
- Greeting clients at our showroom
- Use of personal vehicle to visit/taking measurements at job sites
- Designing project modification as per client wishes
- Pricing of upgrades on jobs (guidelines will be provided)
As the first point of contact for the cabinetry of our builder clients, the employee interacts with customers on a daily basis, promptly responding to all inquiries in person or over the telephone in a courteous and efficient manner.

**Salary**: $38,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
