DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
- Keep equipment available for use by performing diagnostics and preventative maintenance including but not limited to: engine tune-ups, oil change, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters
- Maintain vehicle and equipment functional condition by repairing engine failures, replacing parts and components, repairing body damage, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems malfunctions
- Utilize a multimeter and computer software to effectively diagnose faults
- Perform entry into Fleet Software to record work performed and repairs
- Ensure efficient operation of shop equipment by following operating instructions, maintaining supplies, identifying and performing preventative maintenance, and calling for repairs
- Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of work area

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must possess a valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience working on heavy iron and off road construction equipment including excavators, skidsteers, front end loaders, HDD rigs

EDUCATION
- Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician

LANGUAGES
- Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
