Russell Hendrix has an exciting opportunity for a **Warehouse Team Lead **to join our team in **Chilliwack**. This position is ideal for an individual with extensive warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience and is looking to utilize their experience to support the day-to-day distribution operations by providing guidance and directing workflow. In this position you will oversee the work activities of a small team of material handlers and ensure performance expectations are met.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the DC staff to ensure they fully understand Russell Hendrix best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Provides day to day team guidance, directing operational workflow and maintains solid understanding of warehouse processes, goals, and targets.
- Oversee the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the Distribution Centre.
- Ensure orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
- Monitor daily workflow in the warehouse and assist where necessary.
- Problem solves warehouse related issues prior to approaching management.
- Inspect warehouse regularly for safety, organizational and cleanliness concerns.
- Work closely with the Inventory Controller to address and correct any inventory related concerns originating in the warehouse.
- Will supervise and serve as the main point of contact for the DC staff when distribution manager is not onsite.
- Support distribution manager in day-to-day operations and communicate regularly any issues or areas for improvement.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- You have 1 - 2 years’ relevant lead experience.
- You interpersonal and communication skills are excellent.
- You are comfortable in an environment with multiple priorities and have experience in managing multiple initiatives/activities simultaneously.
- You have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- You have hands-on experience with ERP and WMS.
- You are comfortable leading small to medium sized teams.
- You are a problem solver, experienced in identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- You have sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- You are naturally collaborative, both within your team and across multiple departments.
- You are proactive, utilizing your knowledge of the business objectives to act without guidance or specific direction and bring new ideas to the table.
- You are self-motivated and results oriented.
- You are committed to the safety of your team and the facility, leading by example.
- You are highly organized.

**Where You’ll Work**:

- You’ll work in a warehouse setting, at our Distribution Centre located in Chilliwack, BC.
- Safety shoes or boots will be required.
- You’ll be moving product within and out of our facility, requiring frequent lifting.
