The Open Doors is hiring an Employment Coordinator. This position will be responsible for facilitating Youth Employment Supports, workplace supervision/placements, awareness raising and training, and the overall administration of the program. The position will be required to work both front line, as well as administratively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain updated list of job opportunities in the region.
- Connect youth applicants with potential employers.
- Identify barriers/assets to employment and develop action plans for youth that are looking for job and career information, skill development and/or training opportunities.
- Provide skill building sessions for youth and/or employers as individuals or groups. (conflict resolution, intergenerational workplaces, resume writing, etc.)
- Develop relationships with employers of youth within the community.
- Support employers in their work to encourage full participation of youth employees.
- Model appropriate workplace attitude and behavior for the youth involved in the program.

**Requirements**:

- Post secondary education in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience (human services, employment support, facilitation).
- Demonstrate a genuine concern for the youth of our community and interest in meeting them where they are at.
- MUST be willing and able to advocate for youth who are experiencing barriers.
- Be able to work as a contributing member of a team both within and outside the organization
- Must be organized and adept at managing reporting processes.
- Must have clear Criminal Record Check (which includes a Vulnerable Sector Check) and Child Intervention Record Check.
- This position REQUIRES a valid driver's license and driver's abstract.

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Camrose, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Human Services: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
