**About the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)**

Basketball is the fastest growing sport in Canada, and the CEBL is at the forefront of that growth A league created by Canadians for Canadians, the CEBL is the only Canadian-based global team sports brand and is recognized as among the best of more than 200 FIBA professional leagues around the world. With 10 teams in six provinces and plans for continued expansion, it is the largest pro sports league in Canada. The CEBL season runs May through August, enabling the league to attract players with experience in the NBA, NBA G League, top international leagues, the Canadian National team program, and major NCAA and U Sports programs. It is Canada’s only First Division Professional League Partner of Canada Basketball. The CEBL represents Canada in the FIBA Basketball Champions League Americas, which features the top teams representing seven countries from South and Central America and Canada. **Account Executive, Globl Jam**

The CEBL is in search of a self-motivated, sales-driven, outgoing individual who is ready to take on a self-fulfilling position in the sports industry. The CEBL has partnered with Canada Basketball to lead ticket sales for their marquee domestic basketball event, Globl Jam.

The Account Executive, Globl Jam position will work alongside the CEBL’s VP, Commercial Operations and the Director, Ticketing and Merchandise to establish new leads and drive ticket sales for Canada Basketball’s Globl Jam event. Globl Jam, Canada’s Under-23 international showcase basketball event heads into its second year in 2023. Globl Jam will be hosted at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, featuring eight of the top men’s and women’s international teams, with all games broadcast nationally on Sportsnet.

This position is a critical role to lead ticket sales revenue growth for Canada Basketball’s marquee domestic event. The role will provide an incredible opportunity to influence the growth and success of Globl Jam. While this is a contract position, full-time opportunities may be available following the conclusion of the contract term within the CEBL or with one of its member teams.

**Responsibilities**: (Included but not limited to)
- Responsible for maximizing revenue through the sale of Globl Jam ticket packages including tournament packages, group sales and premium tickets.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly ticket sales goals.
- Utilize Ticketmaster Archtics ticketing software and Salesforce CRM software to manage customer accounts.
- Oversee implementation and fulfillment of all team ticket requests.
- Utilize independent discretion in making use of referrals and other sources to conduct aggressive outreach to increase ticket sales and prospects database.
- Manage incoming calls from prospective or existing sales clients.
- Maximize all ticket sales revenue by independently identifying and self-generating potential new prospects and leads.
- Work Globl Jam gamedays and other events to support ticket sales customer service.
- Provide input on new processes and workflows as needed.
- Focus on ensuring the maintenance of superior customer/fan service levels, operational excellence and strategic insight.
- Work game days and attend special events throughout Southwestern Ontario to maximize Globl Jam sales opportunities.

**Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years in sales, customer service or account management.
- Existing experience with ticketing software, specifically Ticketmaster, is considered a strong asset.
- Existing experience with a CRM platform, such as Salesforce, considered a strong asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
- Valid Driver’s License.

**Job Type**:

- Full-time, Contract (5-months)

**Availability**:

- Monday to Friday, with game day and some evening and weekend work required for events and community engagement

**Compensation**:

- Ticket Sales Commissions
