Events and Marketing Specialist

Edmonton, Canada Consulting Engineers of Alberta Full time

We are an Association located in the heart of Edmonton that requires a positive motivated individual to assist with the administration of its day-to-day operations in our event and marketing delivery. This full-time position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

**Key Duties will include but are not limited to**:
Event planning of annual and onetime events
- Book Venues (contracts, set up, catering, AV, etc.)
- Attend events, setup and provide on-site management and host event registration
- Provide administrative support to association activities including name badges, signage, print materials, presentations as well as build and maintain conference app when required
- Liaise and manage relationships with vendors and guest speakers

Marketing
- Maintain, prepare, and post content and creative material for our Social Media accounts. Responsible for all platforms with development of content calendar and plan.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of association publications and documents.
- Coordinate communications between the association and its members.

Work outside regular office hours as required. Must have a reliable vehicle.

Administrative support and special projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Completion of Diploma in Business, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a similar capacity
- Broad knowledge of computer technologies and software, including Microsoft Office. InDesign would be an asset.
- Three to five years in an event coordinator role with experience in dealing with contracts is an asset.
- A commitment to working cooperatively in a small team environment with colleagues, members and external partners.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.

Hybrid remote working hours with a minimum of 2 staff assigned days in the office.

*In person office hours will be adjusted at the discretion of the COO at times due to Association Activity and team workloads

**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
