That’s what our founders did in 2005 and that’s still what they do today, supported by an international team of energy experts who help spread this passion all over the world. What does our team bring to the table? A set of highly specialized consultancy services: quality energy risk management, procurement, financial controlling, sustainability, and data management solutions based on the most in-depth knowledge of energy procurement that you can find. At E&C Consultants, energy buying isn’t just a branch of our business - it’s in our DNA._

This role will place you within our large and supportive international consultants’ team to interact with clients and suppliers across Europe. You will be at the **forefront** of changes in the energy industry at a time when the biggest energy transition since the industrial revolution is taking place. **Dynamic and fast-paced**, E&C is the place to be if you want to contribute to something bigger.

**What is the job about?**

Our large international clients need help in dealing with the price volatility in **energy markets**. They need someone they trust to help them **minimize risks** when buying energy. You will be their guide and assist them in putting together a good purchasing and renewable **strategy** and **negotiating energy contracts**. Increasingly important is the **transition to green energy** - something more and more of our clients need help with.

**What will you do?**

You will develop and manage your **own client portfolio**, enjoying a great deal of independence in organizing your work. You will interact regularly with clients´ C-level management on all items regarding energy procurement, **convincing and advising** them on how to organize their energy procurement process. You will evolve quickly towards a role of **coordinating consultant**, acting as single point of contact for large international clients.

The job of a consultant consists of different aspects, such as:

- Market analysis. You will stay updated with all aspects influencing energy prices. You will summarize the information and contributing to the exchange of knowledge with your colleagues. You will share your expertise with the wider world in presentations, blogs and tweets.
- Risk management. Based on fundamental market analysis and a client’s strategic profile, you will pro-actively advise clients to hedge or un-hedge positions.
- Sustainability and green energy buying. You will find the best sustainable solutions (solar, wind, cogenerations ) and support your clients in the negotiation of those contracts.
- Projects. You will investigate the possibilities of renewable power purchase agreements for your clients.

**Who are we?**

**What do we offer you?**

From your first day, you will **feel the energy** of a continuously evolving sector. You will be placed with a buddy while you onboard, following an intense but interesting internal training programme. You will feel part of a **diverse and international** team that you can rely on while being challenged in the work that you do. E&C is an agile workplace, offering **autonomy and empowerment**. Regular discussions with your team leader allow you to define a **rewarding career path** that makes the best use of your talents and interests.

**Required competencies**
- Analytical & synthetic: you will be working with a wealth of data to be analysing and synthetized for clients and colleagues. For instance - you will analyse energy contract proposals, edit comparative spreadsheets, share the results of your analysis with clients and lead the negotiation process.

- Organization: with working in a busy environment you will need to be able to organize and prioritize tasks
- Accountability: you will be working independently, setting goals for yourself and others and giving substance to them
- Resilience: this is a fast-paced and ever-changing industry with a certain amount of pressure to stay ahead and keep calm
